Medication and extreme heat
Taking some medicines can interfere with how our bodies adapt to heat.
Speak to your doctor before making any changes to your medication!
Advice on taking medicines correctly
- Do not stop taking your medication. Consult a doctor if you are unsure about what to do.
- Consult your doctor, especially if your last visit was several months ago.
- Do not take any new medication without medical advice, even if the drugs in questions are sold over the counter.
Make sure you store your medicines correctly
In the event of extreme heat, make sure that your medication is not affected by the high temperatures. Ask your pharmacist for advice, as some drugs can be stored in the fridge during very warm periods.
