Med Safety Week 2024
MedSafetyWeek 2024 campaign – join us from 4 to 10 November 2024 for a week dedicated to raising awareness of better pharmacovigilance
The Pharmacovigilance Department (Service pharmacovigilance - PhV) of the Division of Pharmacy and Medicines (Division de la pharmacie et des médicaments - DPM) is pleased to announce that Luxembourg will be participating in #MedSafetyWeek 2024. This will be Luxembourg's fourth time participating in the event.
The campaign is organised annually by the Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC) – the WHO centre dedicated to promoting the safer use of medicinal products globally – and, this year, will take place from 4 to 10 November 2024.
The central theme of this year's campaign is 'Preventing side effects'.
The campaign is part of the PhV Department's drive to step up initiatives aimed at heightening awareness of the proper use of medicinal products, and aims to intensify pharmacovigilance-related messaging and promote a 'pharmacovigilance culture' in Luxembourg.
To support the campaign, patients, healthcare professionals and institutional partners will be provided with a wide range of educational resources and materials.
The resources and materials include a poster, a factsheet entitled 'Vous ressentez un effet indésirable médicamenteux : comment réagir ?', cards with a link to the form to report side effects, and a number of social media events (LinkedIn, Facebook) in different languages.
All of these resources are available below.
Join us for this awareness week and help to improve pharmacovigilance as a Med Safety Ambassador!
